Donald Trump sexism and misogyny would translate into dangerous policies like criminalizing abortion. He’s said women and doctors who access or provide abortions should be punished. Further, Donald Trump promises to rip Nevadan families apart with dangerous and offensive immigration policies, including deporting all undocumented immigrants from the country. That’s what Joe Heck hopes to see?
The truth is Joe Heck isn’t all that different from Donald Trump. He’s dangerous for Nevada.
Joe Heck has voted EIGHT times to block patients from care at Planned Parenthood.
Joe Heck said that the ACA's birth control benefit, which has ensured that more than 55 million women have access to no-copay birth control, had "nothing to do" with women's health.
Joe Heck voted against considering the Paycheck Fairness Act, which would address the gender pay gap. On average, Latina women in Nevada make only make 52 cents for every dollar paid to men. African American women make just 65 cents, and Latinas only make 52 cents for every dollar paid to men. And on average, women in Nevada are paid 85 cents for every dollar that men make.
As a state Senator, Heck voted against funding for a rape crisis center and domestic violence prevention program. His campaign’s excuse was that he didn’t have time to read the bill.
Heck has voted against Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) and voted to defund Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals [DACA], both of which would give deportation relief to millions of immigrants.
